Today I did Chinatown walk. The walk was great and highly fascinating. Deaperting from Union Square and working its way through Chinatown. You then climb to one of the highest points in San Francisco which is Pioneer Park at Telegraph Hill. From here you descend a walkway through some lovely terraced gardens until you arrive at the wharf area. On the way down I passed the Levi Strauss business park.
In the afternoon I took the ferry to Alcatraz and did the tour. It is interesting to note it only operated as a federal prison from 1934 to 1963.
